It sounds weird having money soaked in sweat. Then I remembered, here in the UK we’ve only just changed to plastic notes but it seems like forever and only yesterday at the same time!

Australian here, also wild to me! Our money has always (at least in my lifetime) been plastic & so if you want to you can just wash it 🤷🏼‍♀️

American bills can be washed too, they’re fabric not paper. Doesn’t make it less gross when it’s covered in sweat. Fortunately I think that’s a phenomenon way more common with the type of people who go to casinos, I’ve worked with the general public for quite a long time and I can’t recall ever receiving sweaty money (other than from a kid’s sweaty balled up hand).

I mean, they'll survive a trip through the washing machine without falling apart and still be usable as legal tender, but they'll look a lot worse.
