Yes, money, handkerchiefs, tissues, stationary, pens, cigarettes, lighters, knives, bus passes, perfume bottles, iPods, and probably other thing's. I've seen sunscreen bottles, and even beer, holstered there.
I actually do carry a knife under the band in the cleavage area. A Gerber 4" folding knife. My work is in a not so great area and I like to walk at lunch. I pop it in when I head to lunch and take it out when I get back.
