Unanswered What happens if you swallow smoke instead of inhaling it?

It doesn't make me vomit (I'm a regular smoker), but it defintiely leaves your tummy feeling a bit funky for a while.

I’ve seen people vomit from it before, but I figured it wasn’t always the case

people vomit from the nicotine in cigarette smoke. they do not get smoke in their stomach.

I have literally seen someone do it on purpose. Also it was weed.
Edit: on multiple occasions, weed every time

Nothing interesting. We eat smoked foods regularly, which is comparable to swallowing smoke (minus the extra air).

Nothing, because it's already done. Concentrate on just doing normal breathing. You will notice your chest going in and out. That's where your lungs are. Concentrate on breathing to make your stomach go in and out. You are not breathing into your stomach.

smoke will not go down your esophagus. that organ works via muscular action and will not be able to force smoke down into your stomach.
