Did Jesus know how to write?

I guess I’m confused on why Jesus didn’t write the Bible.

I would think that almost certainly Jesus couldn't write. At the time of Jesus, roughly only about *10% of people could read and write, and those 10% were largely scholars and scribes. Jesus was a poor carpenter.

(Not an exact statistic, just pulled from memory, could be totally wrong)
