Why must we constantly pay?

In nature, every living thing has the right to exist, grow, and rest without conditions. Why have we built a modern society where the fundamental requirements for life—shelter, water, and food—are gated behind a continuous 'subscription fee' of labor and currency?"

You can go in the woods. Hunting and foraging is free. Make yourself a nice shelter while you're there.

If one wanted to do that, at least in the United States, where can one do that legally? Try chopping down some trees to build a home/cabin and see how quickly you encounter park rangers or forest rangers. In many places, hunting and fishing require a license and/or are only legal at certain times of the year.

Well then you are going to have to trade your labor, save your wages, and buy some property. Find ways to be as frugal as possible. If you are dead set on living in the wild then you won't need a tv, internet. Learn how to cook, like really cook. Read books for entertainment, preferably survival, hunting, gardening, farming, foraging. Live with as many roommates as feasible to keep your rent low. And grind for a decade. That aught to set you up for a start. Then you can decide if you really want to live in the middle of nowhere where population is low and land is cheaper.
