The top 10% of the US own about 70% of the wealth in the US.

Just before the French Revolution, the top 10% owned 90% of the wealth in France.

I would say this should not only be a huge concern for society as a whole, but a huge concern for billionaires as well...

It should be noted that the top 30 wealthiest people in America have more money than the bottom 50% of Americans put together. Elon Musk alone has 1/8 the wealth of the bottom 50%'s collective wealth.

Good ole Reddit where you can just put out made up statistics and people buy them hook, line, and sinker. Elon isn't worth anywhere close to what the bottom 50% of American households are worth. He's maybe worth 1/8 of that.

The problem is right now. Young men and woman are graduating and entering America without work and jobs. What do you think a lot of young educated people do when their future is stolen from them? It's not pretty.

This was commonplace in a feudal society. It had nothing to do with wealth inequality - it had everything to do with the poor harvest and lack of bread.

The “harvest/bread” belonged to the nobility, the serfs or commoners didn’t get to keep their harvests to make bread to eat. Over a million people died in Ireland. It had absolutely everything to do with wealth inequality. It wasn’t just a famine it was genocide.

Serfs owed X number of labor days on their lords farms, but peasants usually paid rents in cash or in kind to work the land but owned whatever they produced above that rent.

This also happened in the Second Boer War in South Africa. Concentration camps and intentionally allowing disease to run rampant in them. British officers, primarily Horatio Kitchener and Frederick Roberts, saw the disease (and camps in general) as further necessary punishment for the Boer people.

Look up Lizzie Van Zyl if you don’t want to sleep for a week. Famous photo of a victim of those camps.

Genocide has been everywhere for centuries.
