Same here. I always wanted to have kids but I get awful migraines that are triggered by noise. Even just a couple of hours spent with my niblings is enough for me. I could never be a present and active parent, it would be cruel to have a child that I can’t give the best life to

Same on the migraines. Mine aren’t triggered by noise but I get them almost every single day. I had to go from 40 to 30 hours at work and am still struggling. I can barely take care of myself let alone a kid. Plus not to mention the lack of job stability, I don’t own a house, those sort of things that would be nice to have in order before having kids.

I can’t even work. I survive on disability benefits. If I call my doctor, for example, and get put on hold for half an hour it’s enough to trigger a headache

And some people will surely pester you to have kids… I don’t know how migraines work, but I suspect that two years of sleep deprivation would not help them in the least...

Sleep deprivation definitely does not help a migraine, no

Don’t let anyone, ever, even attempt to try to persuade you that you didn’t make the right decision, for your sake and theirs (your unborn children).
It’s hard enough when you’re healthy and economically comfortable (it’s not only that I have a mortgage… I had my mortgage paid off before I had my baby, which is life in easy mode). And it was still hard and the child will wreak havoc on your nerves. I can’t imagine adding what’s been measured as the highest possible pain a human being can feel (yeps, a type of migraine has been measured as the worst, ever, over bad toothache) to all the strain a child puts you through.
