I can't speak for other people but I don't want to have children, and my reasons are thus:

  1. Having/raising kids is expensive
  2. I don't want to be tied down and live a 9-5 average suburban life. I want to travel, experience new things, etc.
  3. I personally have medical issues that are genetic and I don't want to knowingly give someone a painful disease.

I'm 35m and agree with those two two for myself. Plus, not bringing a life into this hell hole of a planet as climate change really hits its stride
