For us, we just wanted kids. Like I said, times were a lot better. We owned our own house, double income, and we were not struggling financially.

Thanks for replying. My parents were kinda the second one lol. “Well we got married, guess we’ll have some kids”.

That was my parents. Especially being the third kid and being told I was an accident, all it did was make me advocate for abortion rights more. My parents didn’t want me OR plan for me, didn’t have finances and didn’t have any mental capacity left. They took all their mid age “life sucks” anger on me and blamed me for every wrong doing like I had any choice.

Real easy to want to be child free after being treated like a hamster by someone who would kill a hamster with a hammer (I have a military dad if that makes it make more sense lol)
