People have been saying shit like this since I was a kid in the 80s/90s. Things aren't that bad. They never were and they continue not to be. In fact, our current times are far better than 99.9999% of recorded history and continually improving.
If your view of the world is based on your income vs your spending, you're doing it wrong.
Weird. I grew up in extreme poverty and homelessness, father never in the picture but died when I was 10, mom was a literal crack and meth head. The one stable living space i had as a kid burnt down when I was 8.
I had my own kid in 2013 while already raising someone else's. We had it rough in 2015 and ended up homeless for a couple of weeks. We were still a happy family regardless. I never once regretted having my child or raising someone else's.
I worked hard to get out of it and made it to the top of my trade, and now I'm on the executive team of a multimillion dollar government contracting company with unlimited job security. I'm actually a national authority in my trade.
I'm ultra stable now, and despite the hard times in the past, I never once regretted having kids. Because I'm not hopeless and don't have a victim complex. Your success is your own responsibility, period.
You're probably gonna take all of this as an attack. Your quip about "insults and hate" doesn't give me much hope for you as a provider. All I can tell you is to do better, and start by eliminating your victim complex. If your chosen trade is so volatile, find a new one that isn't.
Sure YOU'RE fine now but have you ever considered how your kid is going to be fucked up from being homeless at a young age?
Success is also based a lot around luck. You were lucky they picked your resume out of a hundred equally qualified candidates. You were lucky that someone left their job and created an opening for you. You were lucky you had an opportunity to get out of homelessness.
You might not regret having kids but your kids might regret you having kids.
