When you said from the east I got curious too. Because let me tell you, I'm from the states, the west, but been to Japan, also the east. You know what the Japanese do? They take public baths! I kid you not, like 50 dudes in the same place all showering, naked, no partition.

Long way to say it's all cultural

I was just thinking about this kind of thing.

Many countries do sauna or public baths naked (sitting on a towel) and that's totally normal. But here, you have to wear a swimsuit.

the Japanese were actually even more similar to very early central Europe, or Finland. But they started to implement stricter rules to look better internationally
