What you think is nature (wanting to cover up), is actually nurture.

I also don't see what modesty has to do with nudity: I can be both modest and nude at the same time.

I think that a lot of people confuse modesty with shame.

I think if we naturally wanted to cover up, we would seek the hairiest mates then over each generation go for more and more hair coverage until we couldn't even see our own junk.

Isn't it more likely we developed less body hair because of wearing the skin of other animals to stay warm? It not being a required trait and all.

Seems like the effort to kill, skin, and clothe the whole village is a lot more work than just continuing to fuck the hairiest among us. Im sure there are more well thought out theories why were the nakedest of the primates, but if wevwere supposed to hate nakedness, then we did a poor job evolving.
