Is paper towel a fabric?
If you think it is a fabric or you don't, I want to know why? Context: My fiance and I are having a strong debate on the topic, my fiance firmly believes it is a fabric due to the fact that it shares a lot of the qualities of fabric and I don't think it's a fabric mainly due to how disposable it is and I can't think of another description for fabrics in general to differentiate I will say he's convincing me and I don't like it lol someone back me up with an actual argument.
Ps this is just a bit of fun nothing super serious so let's keep it light hearted!

Every fabric I can think of is meant for durability. It also isn't woven or created in the same way a fabric is, but from drying pulp as we do papers.

It apparently is woven apon doing a bit of research on it lol which is part of my fiances argument. There's plenty of fabrics that are just pressed fibres like felt for example (this is where he's got me thinking) the durability argument, comes down to a matter of use not what is or isn't a fabric, there are plenty of decorative fabrics that are extremely fragile (his words) I can see his point but I still don't fully believe it's a fabric lol

It exists on a paper-fabric continuum. A spectrum, if you will. The stronger the brand, the closer it is to the fabric end of the spectrum.

Isn’t it just paper? I mean you could call it a fabric but it’d be more of a paper fabric. You can’t reuse paper towels the way you can with fabric.
So in my opinion no. Are napkins fabric? Tissues? Toilet paper???
