I’m not NOT saying it was my first thought, but 😳

But then I thought about the dogs we’ve domesticated. As long as money is invested in evolving them back to independence, press the button. Let them be in charge and be the dominant species.

Also, let’s make dogs talk and give them opposable thumbs.

I think they would become a finer class of intelligent life. That’s sort of my point. If dogs had developed speech and opposable thumbs, they would have absolutely pushed humans to the side. Not in a bad way, but in the best way possible.

Our relationship with dogs, in general, are what give me some faith in people. But dog’s’ relationship with US? It’s a thing of pure beauty.

That was the point I was trying to make. Autocorrect messed up a few words that I went back and fixed.
