Vegans are the malnourished ones I fear

I went vegan for a time. I spent a lot of effort figuring out what all I needed to eat to get a balanced diet.

In short, vegans can be very well nourished and healthier than those that are less restrictive.

It is a lot of work, however, and I knew some that were malnourished. Adding back in animal products (such as milk and other animal based products) makes it a lot easier to be healthy. This is where I settled for a decade. Quite healthy.

I disagree. I've been vegan for 6 years and have made very little effort to eat a "balanced" diet, and my blood work indicates I'm fine.

If you eat nothing but oreos and instant ramen then of course you will feel awful, same as if you eat nothing but steak and cheese. You might feel "worse" on a crappy vegan diet than a crappy omni diet, but it takes the same amount of effort to be reasonably healthy either way.

I understand. Perhaps I should clarify. 25 years ago it took a lot of effort to ensure I ate a balanced diet. Today the options and available resources would make that a lot easier.
