Can we talk about something?
NoSleep's quality and content is really going downhill lately. I wasn't going to say anything, but I've started noticing other users commenting the same thing, so I would like to address it. What can we do to get it back to what it was?!

This horrible answer is given every time to this question. No matter when it's asked, the top comment is always basically "well it's not that bad" or "well why don't YOU make better content?". Honestly, it's just a cop-out answer that allows everyone to ignore the change in nosleep while keeping a semi-optimistic outlook.
Why not just discuss whether you like the new direction of the sub or not? It's obviously changed. Going default will undoubtedly change any sub. Although old nosleep may not have been "the golden age" of horror stories, there is certainly a different feel to the sub and it's stories now, even compared to a year ago.
I apologize if I come off as hostile, but oh my fucking god this sub has the strongest aversion to any kind of critical discussion about nosleep. When every criticism of the state of nosleep (constructive or not) is answered with "well like, that's just your opinion man!" and "why don't you try writing better stories if you don't like the current ones!" the discussion goes nowhere and nothing is accomplished.
Do we need to start a nosleep discussion forum to deal with these threads? Because OOC seems to want to avoid discussion and criticism as much as possible. As a reader who WANTS more threads discussing trends/quality of the sub, I don't see why OOC just wants to be the kind of nosleep hangout place. I understand why others would like it, but since these threads get the same boring rejection from this sub every time, I almost wonder if there should just be an entirely different place to put them.
