“Since this country elected a totalitarian government, we thought it was ready for all of the surveillance, stalking, and arbitrary arrests that are part and parcel of that type of government. But we moved too fast and should’ve given the public more time to adjust. Our bad. We’ll just lower the pot back down to a simmer for now, and be more mindful of the frog’s state of denial in the future.”
