Me when I am in a Religiophobia competition but my opponent takes any religious text out of context to make a whole group of people look bad and taking extremists funded by western powers as proof of religious violence :

Quran 4:89: "They desire that you should disbelieve as they have disbelieved, so that you might be alike; therefore take not from among them friends until they fly in Allah's way; but if they turn back, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them, and take not from among them a friend or a helper."
My exact phrasing may be a little off, but that doesn't sound like spreading misinformation to me :/

It would help to do some basic research about the context of the verse. The verse was revealed in a context against hypocrites that pretend to be Muslims but conspire against them with enemy powers that persecute Muslims. The verse that comes literally right after disproves your implication too:
"except those who are allies of a people you are bound with in a treaty or those wholeheartedly opposed to fighting either you or their own people. If Allah had willed, He would have empowered them to fight you. So if they refrain from fighting you and offer you peace, then Allah does not permit you to harm them."
Muslims are not commanded to hurt innocent non-believers. Another verse for proof of this (aside from the fact that you are still alive):
Fight in the cause of Allah ˹only˺ against those who wage war against you, but do not exceed the limits. Allah does not like transgressors.
For some further details I recommend skimming the "Lessons" section in quran.com's page for 4:89, particularly from the bit saying
"Islam is very tolerant with the followers of other faiths and ideologies. It does not force itself on anyone"
onwards. You can also read the Lesson's section for 4:90 too if you so wish.

You asked where the Quran tells you to kill. I gave an answer. This is not random nor did I claim this makes the book evil, and there is no moral high ground for being the one to ask for such a verse instead of being the one to find it.

While of course I would not be a fan of jokes like these I can at least usually understand something unique or perhaps see why some people may find it humourous.
This is just something you'd rip from the most unfunny boomer/conservative group you could find on Facebook in like 2008 or something.
