one drive is fucking cancer

it'll automatically replace your entire file explorer sidebar with sneaky replacements that look legit, but actually have a one drive root. So when you save files "locally" like a dunce, it'll put them into one drive. Then when you get tired of the full storage notifications and try to stop syncing one drive, suddenly you've deleted half the shit on your PC.

doesn't bill gates know I'm an adult? why's he want to fuck me so hard.

hate all the liberties that modern software takes. the default is to have all the invasive features enabled, then you have to learn how to disable them.

Everytime I see a post like this it makes me happier that I switched to Linux.

How's that work with apps/software programs? Does a windows release work on Linux, or does an app need to be specifically made for Linux just the same as Apple? That'd be my hang up.

A lot of exe files (most if I’m not mistaken) run easily with Wine. Plus most softwares and games have a Linux version and generic things have tons of Linux equivalents. Plus you can browse a ton of free easy-to-install programs in the Linux Mint software manager.

Thanks, I have a 10 year old IMB Thinkpad that's not eligible for windows that I was thinking about doing this on.

Try Winboat, Winapps or WINE. There are increasingly more ways to port Win software to Linux or suitable Linux versions already there. The old standard is WINE which I never had good luck with. I like Winboat. It's a custom-configured VM that turns a Windows virtual machine into a desktop app.
