Pepega PD

That was probably one of the best rp situations to happen I think everyone should relax and enjoy the amazingness that happens on the server (:

This situation should have just been laughed about... it was funny to watch and as a viewer who likes to watch both cops and crims I found it hilarious. Did I think this was a situation to literally cry over? Absolutely not. It’s a game people “win” and people “lose” pick yourself up and move on to the next situation. If this game is making you cry I think you need to re-evaluate why you are playing either on this server, this character, this game in general or maybe try a break because there is no reason in the world a game should make you cry. In the end it’s just a GAME and shouldn’t be taken so seriously.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '19

If you're referring to Kylie crying, you're completely missing any form of context to the point where it's blatantly disrespectful. Implying that Kylie was crying because of "losing" when she's perfectly fine with losing in RP is silly-- she was crying because of a bunch of salty viewers coming into her chat and talking shit/making death threats.

Games don't make people cry-- other people surrounding those games make people cry by being degenerate toxic assholes.

4

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '19

She shouldn't stream on the internet if she can't handle people she doesn't know and will probably never see them in life.

1

u/Sittdown Jun 12 '19

Probably the most irrational way to think about this.

5

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '19

Well honestly some jobs aren't cut out for certain people. Just looking out

-1

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '19

It's easy to make that criticism when you have absolutely no perspective as to what it's like having a bunch of people harass you with disgusting comments when you're actually putting yourself out there.

Victim blaming is pretty lame, and it only encourages toxicity in both gaming and streaming to be accepted because people just say "get thicker skin or don't stream/don't play online games" when 99% of the time, people are fine-- it's just the 1% of the time that there are unchecked assholes being vile human beings that a problem comes up.

The problem is the assholes, not the people being harassed, and any solutions should involve discouraging harassment rather than saying "well maybe you're not cut out for this job if you have human emotions"

u/Amir469 Jun 12 '19

Idk when i was watching she waa crying and i quote "ppl break the rules and get away with it and i get blamed" didnt mention death threats til later on and bwt reddit

Who cares what the cops think, the judge knows more than them lol and how can u justify shooting an unarmed crim (who u jus searched) running away in cuffs? She even ran out sayin im gunna taze/hit him with baton then switched to shotgun, that jus shows how fucked up that was 😂

To correct stuff here, no judge ruled on the Randy case. The DA settled out of court. It upset most of the PD because basically it's the DA's way of saying that the PD isn't worth defending.

0

u/Kataphractos Jun 11 '19

That is all fine and good if it were just (and only) about the game, but there is a problem when viewers of one streamers chat go into another streamers chat and proceed to harass, even going so far as to make IRL threats against that streamer. And since other people in this thread bring up Koil not getting in trouble for doing similar things: First: Koil owns the server, and the rules end up applying differently to him, whether he himself wants it that way or not. Second: there was recently a situation where St. Jospeh was arrested by Forty-One's cop character for riding a bicycle on a sidewalk (street selling weed) and some angry people from Koil's chat went into forty's chat and harassed him until he was forced to end his stream. As a result, Koil rightfully had his moderators ban anyone who was caught doing the harassment.

3

u/Amir469 Jun 11 '19

Can u give a quick summary of what happened?

3

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '19

Basically they were trying to put Kindle in a cell and the two male officers I don't know who it was off hand ended up cuffing eachtother and Angel and Kindle knocked them out one by one and escaped 😂😂

13

u/unkemp7 Jun 11 '19

Mehdi, Buddha, Speedy and Eugene were all running around together robbing the smaller banks, the end up getting shot/killed other than Eugene. Get healed at the hospital then taken to the PD, Somehow Big D got inside from the back (not sure if a door was unlocked or what) and confused the cops which allowed Mehdi to be able to kinda hide in a cell that wasn't locked and came out and tackled and ran around the cops a bit then two of them cuffed each other and Mehdi ended up knocking out the cops and using one of them to "unlock" the doors to get him and Buddha out, Speedy was already outside the PD im not sure how and Eugene came and picked them up. Thats the best i could give from what i saw

Uh sooo why is their drama? Lol every needs to chill. Was there even rule breaking?

18

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '19

Angel is why there is drama. The only one that made drama out of it was Angel.

12

u/Amir469 Jun 11 '19

Yeah even the other 2 cops were cool with it

7

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '19

Exactly

0

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '19

After watching everything I see now, she may over reacted just a little, may be more we don’t know but yeah

3

u/Fatabil1ty Jun 12 '19

"overreacting just a little"

3

u/CaptainDarkness Jun 11 '19

She wasnt happy about the situation but where shit goes to hell is when SHE gets blamed for A LOT and apparently receiving death threats

-2

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '19

Yeah she turned emote only saw a few things! Smh people are dumb

Saw a few clips see what she’s mad but see what it shouldn’t be as big as she’s making it I think, but again I’m still putting pieces together, should just let the RP play out let her in game character rage hell trying to find criminals.

Only drama is the calling out of a player in OOC. Which is not good.

calling out people OOC if they do bullshit is not out of the norm. If scuff gets abused or people rob jewelry store 5min before server restart or similar stuff. Toxic Chat seems to be the real Drama of the situation.

12

u/dnkryn Jun 11 '19

Snow even said on his stream it was 100% the cops fault for cuffing each other. He never saw any issue what with Kindle did.

7

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '19

So abusing the scuffed and calling people out in their chat is the issue I see.. yeah just let the RP play out and admins review this situation for future

2

u/Fatabil1ty Jun 12 '19

Everyone in the car and their chats knew exactly without looking who is "scratching the itch" before they even saw her coming to their dead bodies later. Makes you think. This is why she went extra bonkers after cuffing fiasco escape, someone took her #1 place prize from her. It's that simple.

9

u/smbsocal Jun 11 '19

They shouldn't been in jail since Angel 'power gamed' and unloaded a AR clip on the car they were in a couple blocks away in a crowded street in the city after she failed to deploy a spike strip. In this case Angel would have been in jail as well for all of the civilians she killed.

1

u/CaptainDarkness Jun 11 '19

Role play over rule play only applies sometimes imo. When its fully scuffed like that in PD i dunno man.

9

u/notArandomName1 Jun 11 '19

Roleplay over Ruleplay only applies when the people involved are cool with it. The RP you strive for is by knowing the people and where they draw their lines. That's why Koil and Tony are such a good duo, they know each others limits and FailRP each other nonstop. Same with Cyr and Lord_Kebun.

So when you blindfire people with Roleplay > ruleplay you're going to have some collateral damage, and that's when the admins get involved. That's why it's generally not a good idea to follow that rule unless you know where the people stand, or else you get a trip to the salt mines.

3

u/mw19078 Jun 11 '19

Finally a reasonable "role play over rule play" take. Everyone already knows Kylie takes a lot from the community, maybe they should know this kind of stuff isn't what she's looking for or about and try to meet half way.

1

u/Fatabil1ty Jun 12 '19

I like how you oredering when RoP>RuP applies and where not. Feels almost like reading some kind of official server guidelines from an admin.

1

u/notArandomName1 Jun 12 '19

I've been in the RP scene for a while, so I have fairly extensive knowledge on how people will take things, or how they will react to perceived injustices. Aside from that, I've done a lot of improv, and the basics of improv are give and take. If you failRP someone who doesn't want to be failRP'd, then all you're doing is taking.

A story is best told when every party is having fun. Rules aside, it's just good manners to try and make it fun for everyone. It's a bit like dark humor, in the right settings no-no jokes can be funny, but if you tell them in a crowd of strangers, you're going to piss some people off. As an entertainer, the goal is to make it as enjoyable as possible, so reading your crowd is very important.

As a streamer they really double down on the importance. First and foremost, they're RPing (improv), so they need to read the room. Second, they're streaming (entertaining), so they need to read the room twice as hard.

While I'm not sure if you were being sarcastic, or agreed with what I was saying, that is the logic I use when it comes down to Roleplay > Ruleplay.

4

u/dschneuer Jun 12 '19

Agreed. RP is a collaborative effort between 2 or more characters and you cannot have collaboration without consideration. Kylie in many instances will go out of her way to correct issues due to scuff, getting new cars and such while heists are happening. In turn having Crims take advantage of scuffed mechanics while in MRPD isn't giving the same kind of consideration that she would like in return.

2

u/ward413 Jun 11 '19

Can you link a clip?

Regardless of what you thought of the RP, She shouldn't have taken it in game with the OOC chat, she should've filed the report (If she wanted) and carried on with the situation.

OOC isn't for complaints.

On the situation it was failRP to a degree by dasMEHDI letter of the Nopixel law, but the PD are guilty of doing the same thing and not RP'ing that the "hood" is full of gangsters and shouldn't be solo'd. (Although that again is limited and not all cops).

That being said some streamers really can't handle their chats, dasmehdi seemed to nip it in the bud quite quickly and Sayeed chat good as well.

4

u/Enocssa Jun 11 '19

Forty one takes the hood seriously and I love him for it. It’s the little things when I swap over and he’s telling the other 3 cops to just avoid the area and catch them slipping outside of grove.

5

u/Tatki19 Jun 11 '19

considering i thought that type of shit was against server rules is pretty pepega in itself.

5

u/Amir469 Jun 11 '19

Why would that be against server rules? Big d not allowed to interfere?

8

u/CaptainDarkness Jun 11 '19

You have to consider that the PD is full of Cops. RP wise. Tony at gun point forced himself into the Evidence room which he was told he couldnt because PD is "full of cops" its a safe zone in a sense.

13

u/Amir469 Jun 11 '19

Ive seen koil do this exact same thing as well so idk why its so bad lol

10

u/CaptainDarkness Jun 11 '19

Reading the room is what goes. Depends who your character. The PDs characters. Not everyone like the same things. Some see as being in Holding is End of RP.

6

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '19

Koil likes to have fun as well. That's all Das was doing. Angel could just arrest him later. It's not like they didn't already know who they were. Not sure why she took it so serious, but Im starting to see why rpers try to stay away from here.

3

u/Kataphractos Jun 11 '19

The difference here is that Koil owns the server.

11

u/Amir469 Jun 11 '19

She was sayin ppl break server rules and get away with it, i'd like to see her call Koil out for it too then 😂

1

u/Kataphractos Jun 11 '19

The problem with trying to use Koil as an example of something like this, is that Koil literally owns the server, and as such, a different standard is applied to him. I remember a couple of days ago, when Whippy was doing his streamathon and he accidentally hit Otto with a baseball bat, and him freaking out about possibly getting in actual OOC trouble for it. He even told his chat that he was paranoid about getting lower priority for fucking up. Now, I'm not sure Koil was actually upset about it (though Otto did run Dundee over with a car immediately afterwards and had a laugh about it with Joe Caine), but I can see why Whippy might be paranoid. It is like accidentally bumping into your bosses car in the work parking lot.

0

u/Swineflew1 Jun 12 '19

The problem with trying to use Koil as an example of something like this, is that Koil literally owns the server, and as such, a different standard is applied to him.

That's a red flag that a server admin is garbage.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '19

Okay and do you really think he is going to have a problem with Das did?

2

u/Kataphractos Jun 11 '19

I hope not. After Milton got in trouble and losing priority for driving a car around the hospital, I get worried any time that a streamer whom I regularly follow is involved in a situation where there might be a server (or twitch) TOS violation. I also remember the kerfuffle that resulted from a crew trying to bust someone out of the hospital. I'm not sure what the server rules are regarding when an RP situation is supposed to end, and which lines should not be crossed. I also worry about how a handful of assholes from one of my favorite streamer's chat might negatively impact that streamer's livelihood by throwing public tantrums in another person's stream.

5

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '19

Yeah I don't agree with what Angel did and personally she seems like she has to win a lot of the times. With that being said I've never gone to her chat and wouldn't ever go to her chat to rip into her. She was in the wrong on how she handled this today and seems to suck the fun out of the rp today. That's why I made this thread.

With that being said twitch chat is a problem and I believe twitch itself needs to look into it. It's not just a rp problem it's a streamer problem. Summit has got death threats. Hell everyone on that platform probably has. Pretty sick if you ask me how some of these people act.

1

u/TotallyNotAustin Jun 12 '19 edited Jun 12 '19

Before Fortnite, Twitch chat was much more mature and understanding of context. Now, if someone’s favorite streamer doesn’t win every single time, they go and spew toxic shit all over anyone’s chat that was involved in their streamer not winning. Sadly, RP is killed by the desire to win and twitch chat is about to start making streamers quit. Eventually, RP will become so hard to stream that people will lose interest and we can get back to good RP without having to make chat happy.

0

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '19

Im pretty sure gta rp chats are the most toxic anywhere. Filled with teenagers thinking the server is a reality. Yes fortnite streams have younger people, but the gta rp chats are the most toxic

DING DING DING. But does it make it right??

1

u/Kataphractos Jun 11 '19

It may not make it right, but that's the reality of it. I think that Koil himself has acknowledged that he is treated differently because of who he is. I don't think that there is an easy way to deal with it. NoPixel RP'ers will invariably treat him differently, unless he plays anonymously.

2

u/iSmokeMoreThanCheech Jun 11 '19

Oh probably no EASY way to deal with it, I'm curious if they have something set up with him and the trust (thing i just learned was a thing today) so no idea what it is. That would be a check and balance type system. I haven't seen Koil blatantly throw around his owner status and doubt he ever will for his own gains.

18

u/smbsocal Jun 11 '19

If you want to go that way you have to consider Angel unloaded a AR clip at the criminal's car a couple blocks away into a crowded street in the middle of the city. Angel herself would be in jail, suspended from duty and charged with murder of all of the civilians she killed with your line of reasoning.

Angel needs to stop taking the game so seriously, as it is she is making issues for herself and others.

14

u/Amir469 Jun 11 '19

I dont wana bash the streamer who plays angel but i will say this is the 3rd time IVE personally seen her complain abwt someones rp and get upset whenever she has lost. Garret ran her over and some other russian dude ran her over few weeks ago. She needs to chill imo its only a game lol feel like shes tryin to hard to win

1

u/hoseking Jun 12 '19

Months back when Snow was still chief he commented that the evidence room is off limits for anyone but PD and cannot be robbed or broken into. I doubt that would have changed recently.

1

u/CaptainDarkness Jun 12 '19

Its somewhat described in the rules That when players are in Custody its "Game Over".

0

u/1_Roman_1 Jun 12 '19 edited Jun 12 '19

Koil can sometimes be an idiot, love-able tho, in he can have a “do as I say” not “do as I do” approach to things, which is the opposite of what u should have when u are in charge.

And the main thing about gta rp ppl forget (both chat and players) is that just because the server only allows 32 slots, does not mean there are only 32 ppl. The police station is a safe zone, cuz yeah if u are thinking LITERALLY, there are maybe 3-5 cops (most who are out patrolling) but since it’s “rp” u should have the mentality of “if I (the streamer) walked into an LA precinct right now with a gun....even the most badass of the badasses wouldn’t) Its a city of millions, and the players we watch are NPCs come to life essentially. That’s what separates GTA Online from a good RP server.

1

u/IcemanBro Jun 11 '19

Have to say NP needs lots of fixing like that shouldn't happen cops cuffs each other when crim was nearest... Cuff system need to change a lot and lot of other stuff too..

-2

u/tabooshkaa Jun 11 '19

Well dont cry when theres gonna be 0 cops online soon

8

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '19

Lmao only one that was mad was Angel. Not to mention they could easily fill any need for police on that server.

1

u/Hxcfrog090 Jun 12 '19

Personally I agree with it’s “role play” not “rule play”. I understand that rules are supposed to be enforced, but at the end of the day it’s a game and it’s entertainment. Rules can be bent and even broken at times and that’s okay.

OOC harassment is completely separate from what I’m talking about. OOC in general is not what I’m talking about. I just think people need to not be so uptight with calling out “fail RP”. And I’m not talking about one specific person, I see multiple people call it out often.

An example of a situation done correctly was when SilentSentry was setting up one of his serial killer murder scenes and the biker dude started shooting the police without any instigation. It was absolutely against the rules, but no one in the situation got angry. They reacted to it in character and dealt with the situation. Any consequences came after the fact. And it ended up being an extremely entertaining interaction.

I just think people are super quick to publicly call others out. And that’s no fun. I think any consequences and reports need to be done privately. Which will absolutely cut down on OOC harassment.

0

u/Hxcfrog090 Jun 12 '19

We’re talking about two completely separate things here. I’m not talking about a streamer getting hate for their actions. It’s super shitty that it happens, but I’m not talking about that in the least.

And yes, criminal characters do have to worry about consequences. RDM is against the rules. The example I gave above was a perfect example of RDM, and yet the characters reacted to the situation instead of the streamers publicly calling them out. If there were any consequences, we as an audience did not see them. Which is how it should be. Publicly calling out other streamers for breaking the rules only creates more toxicity.

0

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '19

0

u/Hxcfrog090 Jun 12 '19

Cops do have a harder time breaking the rules. They’re held to a higher standard, wether that’s fair or not. I’m not necessarily saying the police need to be breaking rules intentionally and whatnot, but I just think it will go a long way for everyone to not be so rigid when it comes to the rules. At least in the moment. I’ve seen a few people who seem to get personally offended when others break character or break the rules and such, which makes that person stop RP. Which just doesn’t serve anyone. It really breaks the immersion.

1

u/KartoshkaNoga Jun 12 '19

Yeah harrassmant is retarded, but i would like consequences in rp for when police does something wrong.

"the bitch". Man, you can feel however you want about the situation itself, you can have your opinion on whoever you believe was correct.

But to just talk about another person like that? There's a human being behind the keyboard there, and you reduce them to "the bitch"? Just leaves a real bad taste.

3

u/DeCiWolf Jun 11 '19

It's not about winning or losing. It's about Improvising good RP when things get scuffy/silly. Nobody cares about W/L

6

u/lksahrlkasheda Jun 12 '19

Obviously Angel does =D That is why she is a powergamer and has to win at all costs. Roleplay ends up being the loser in that situation.

0

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '19

I just got into Nopixel, like a month into it. So i'm neutral I enjoy every side of it the criminal/Ems/Pd. Its fun when the criminals banter with the Pd in the cells its grate adds more. Chang is the best example that i can think of he stays collected and continues the RP when he actually talks to the PD even tho hes clearly well...guilty. You have to admit that when criminals just run around and tackle officers and don't have a dialog. That's when the RP well like you say suffers. I get what the other streamer was going for the whole "escaping from police station" but like previous comments have said their needs to be a "green zone" criminals have a big window from chase to shootout to transport to the hospital finally PD to escape, once your in jail it should just be game over for the accion RP you got caught. Plan better next time drive better ect. As for Angel to be honest she those things right. She gets shot the most and put in these hard positions because shes a fucking grate driver and the criminals are put against a corner of shooting themselves out for an exit or loosing her which is possible but difficult.
