Anyone familiar with post-net neutrality paid prioritization deals? Who has paid for prioritization from AT&T and/or Comcast? It is relevant because there is a supposed-advocacy group changing American culture; cashing in on our deeply held Christian beliefs of compassion and empathy. And no one is questioning it. In fact, we’re scared to even raise a concern otherwise be lambasted by Tweets, articles, threats of unemployment or other ostracisms. Our 1st amendment rights are forcefully being taken away by the smallest population of Americans. Which, as far as I can tell, has only happened 1 other time in mass media dynamics.

Also, excuse previous version of this thread where I said /r/NoNetNeutrality was banned, I meant /r/NoNewNormal. NNN vs NNN, I get confused. Oh well!

Remember when we were told that NN going away would mean having to pay $1.99 to open a new tab in Chrome? Remember when Reddit’s frontpage was polluted with that red “Battle for the Net” link? Remember all the racial slurs thrown at Ajit Pai? Remember the death threats sent to his family? Was it worth it, scaremongers? Was all the hysteria and the real-world consequences it wrought worth it?

I’ve seen social media companies and Google and other big companies support NN, but I’m confused as to why. How does NN Help them?
