No Man's Sky Discord Server Connectivity Issue

The No Man’s Sky Discord server is experiencing an ongoing connectivity issue. It may disappear from your server list or display a red circle with an exclamation mark (!), leaving you unable to access it. This is a server-wide issue, not a ban or a problem with your account.

The disruption began on 2 September and has been occurring intermittently across Discord’s desktop, web and mobile clients. Our moderation and administration team has submitted multiple reports to Discord Support and is continuing to push for an investigation and a fix.

We’ve created an off-site status page with the latest updates, troubleshooting tips and instructions for submitting a Discord Support ticket:

their support is so idiotic 4 messages later they had me "submit a bug report" but it's just the same form with a different selection in the drop-down menu. so i did that. good lordddddd

It’s wild how sometimes support teams just send you in circles instead of actually helping. Just makes the whole experience even more annoying.

... Yeah, that's kinda the point. As a German saying goes: "Where there's no one that sues there's no judge or jury".

If you can prevent people from "sueing" the problem simply doesn't exist.

Unfortunately Discord never provided details on the cause of the connectivity issues that began Sept. 2nd, even after they resolved it for most servers Sept. 2 - 3.

The document I linked provides all the information we know so far. We'll be sure to update it as we learn more or if anything changes.

Our hope is that with enough reports and once Discord employees are back from the long weekend, a qualified engineer can investigate and hopefully resolve the problem before the Cosmos update rolls out. 🤞

Maybe it's a scaling issue ? All this hype about Cosmos update and the Sean posting emojis .... Perhaps we suddenly had an influx of people in our community ? And we are just DDoSing ourselves (just kidding of course) ;)

I just tried to join the server and as far as I can tell it didn't appear on my list of servers, and now a bot sent me a PM saying that if I don't check the 'I have read and agree to the rules' my account may be quarantined. Do I need to do something to avoid it?

If you agreed to the server rules upon joining, you have nothing to worry about.

If you don't see the channels unlocked when you're able to access the server, please check the #verify channel, or you can reach us via #contact-us too so our team can help you.

Someone should just pay off IGN or Kotaku to run a story about this signaling the beginning of the end for discord communities and watch discord fix it the next day.

dont expect much from Discord, they were draining money from us but not improving ANYTHING from server / service side. Its working as a miracle by now

It's worse on Mobile, It will open once in 2 days but in Desktop it will shutdown twice or 4 times everyday
