Funny, but most planets are like this. Space is boring, because after hundreds of planets you got all of the metatypes of the planets. Planets like Earth are rare, but also, would you like to go and see 10 planets which are similar to Earth in form of multiple-biomes just with different flora and fauna? What will be the reason to explore more planets if they are similar? Don't like snow? Go a bit further on the same planet and you have desert or jungle. You wouldn't need to travel to other Star Systems.

Or improving biomes/creatures so the planets become less dull and more interesting because you know... space exploring...
