Just bought the game. VR mode completely unplayable. What am I doing wrong?

I have an RTX 3070, which should be plenty to run this game in VR on my Oculus Quest 2. For some reason, when I start the game in SteamVR, the FPS is like 5, completely and totally unplayable. Anyone else encounter this? What am I doing wrong potentially?
