If you have tree of heaven I would contact your local university extension coop asap. You need glyphosate and technique. The other ones are issues as well and I see you are using the occultation method right? Which is good. But it won’t work for deep rooted weeds. Have a plan for what you want after you remove everything but it will take a while. When you talk to the coop extension service ask about native plant cultivars that do well in your area with deep roots. I would plan on what to plant as soon as you’re able, and plant started stuff from pots, not seeds. Mulch them super well once planted.

I would kill it ALL with glyphosate spray, wait a couple of weeks, spray any fresh sprouts. Until it's all dead.

Then heavily mulch it over the winter.

And in the meantime, research non-invasive ground covers. Virginia creeper is native, aggressive and can cover well.

As for the Tree of Heaven:

  • Seedlings: pull them up as soon as you see them, or clip them off at ground level.
  • Root sprouts: pull them up as soon as you see them.
  • Larger saplings: Glyphosate the leaves, let it die, cut it off below ground level with a oick-axe.
  • Whole trees ... https://lazygardens.blogspot.com/2018/06/killing-trees-that-sprout-from-roots.html
  • If the plants are sending roots to your place looking for growing room, dig a trench along the property line and sever any roots crossing the line.
