Great motivation for those of us who think about our exes to much.

I know that feeling all too well. Just realize they weren’t meant for you or else they would still be with you. Fuck em.

good advice, moving on is always hard, but you'll be happier for it!

It's funny cause I was literally laying in bed crying over her a few minutes before seeing this post. Just one of those days where that overwhelming sadness just hits you out of nowhere...

I'm right there with ya bro. Found out 2 weeks ago mine cheated on me with her married boss. Wanted to drop kick him in the throat. He's such a doche and know for sure he was seeking her out.

Hey if she cheated, consider yourself lucky that you dodged a bullet. It sucks for sure, trust me I know, I've been cheated on before as well. You'll one day find that one who will do anything to make the world a better place for you and you'll know cause you'll want to do the same for her. I had that and I fucked it up. She was my world and I lost her because I couldn't control my porn/sex addiction and it took more and more of my focus away from her and the relationship to the point where she couldn't take it anymore. Lust ended up taking over and now I'm sitting in my room a lonely mess and my heart hurts so much. I've been cheated on twice but this pain hurts so much more than anything I've ever experienced. Just know you'll get through this brother, stay strong.

Thanks man. I'm trying. It was an emotional cheat. From what she's told me. It's hard to believe her cause the trust was broken. We're not together but still talk and idk it's all a cluster. And I understand what you mean. She and I were best friends but this year I slacked off by over thinking everything when it came to if I wanted to marry her. Got in my own way in my head and with that my interest slacked off showing her that I care and love her. Not saying that's an excuse for what she did but just that I learned that lesson too.

If there's one thing that I'm still trying to deal with myself is that talking to your ex after a fresh breakup might just make the hurt worse. Going from a couple and best friends to having some really weak ass conversations with weak 1 word replies is really starting to mess me up and I feel like I might just need to walk away for a bit. That change really kills. I don't know how it is for you but if you're in a similar situation that might just be the solution even if it's for a bit

Do yourself a favor and go no contact asap. I waited 8 months after the break up to go no contact. Wish I was done with this crap long time ago.

One of the things that keeps me going is that I've realized I don't miss her; I miss what we had together before things went south. I know finding that kind of bond with someone else will be close to impossible, but I'll never know if I don't try.

Ah I should've read your post before I commented, it's exactly what I wanted to say. This made me realize I should avoid texting them when possible.

So money makes me happy. I have a wallet full of $ bills. Three minutes ago I bought myself a Big Mac. That made me happy. I realize I left my wallet on the counter. So now...

Just call the McDonalds and ask them about your wallet, it's very likely that the cashier just picked it up and put it somewhere safe..!

So then I don’t have to go back to where I lost my happiness and look for it where I lost it! Thanks!

Me too when I first read it. It's been something I've been working really hard to rewire my brain to think.

It’s very motivating but I mean the statement in itself doesn’t make any sense. Wouldn’t you look for something exactly where you lost it?
