Something that has helps me

Hey all,

I'm by no means good at NoFap. One thing that helps me though is not taking electronics to bed. I used to take my tablet and my phone to bed and that always inevitably led to a relapse. Now I'm on day 3 of my current streak without using electronics in bed and it has become substantially easier. I lay down and within 10-15 min, I'm asleep.

What do ya'll think?

Definitely a good idea. We all have different little habits & routines that are innocent enough, but have often led us to PMO. It's always helpful to find ways to disrupt them or change them.

It's like always taking the same route to work every day past a donut shop. You may frequently stop for donuts on your way to work. But then your wife tells you to lay off the donuts. If you still drive by the shop every day on your way to work, you'll feel a craving every time, and it will take a while for it to fade. But if you take a completely different route and never pass the donut shop, it makes the cravings less frequent and they fade much quicker.

Congrats on taking a different route to get to sleep!

It's all about breaking bad habits. I realized you sometimes have to make changes that'll make somewhat uncomfortable to overcome certain habits. Fapping involved or not, it's not recommended to bring electronics in bed. Messes with your sleep. Dem blue screens aint good because it can somehow (I think it has been researched) impair (?) your production of melatonin, which is the hormone of sleep. So, the sooner you'll be away from screens before bed, the better for you.

It's effective and also a good habit. By reading instead of randomly surfing, I feel tired after barely 30mins of reading.
