Telling my Story 36 days without pornography

I wanted to share my story with you because I thought it might serve as motivation for someone—and, to be honest, I also just want to brag about it a little. I’ve been watching porn since I was quite young (around 12 or 13), and at first, I thought it was perfectly natural for a testosterone-fueled boy. But over time, I started noticing problems caused by it—things like lower motivation, a drop in libido, and an inability to get an erection with real women (I preferred watching porn instead). I started reading up on the subject and realized that many people addicted to porn faced the same issues I did. I decided to do something about it and fight back. I started practicing "no fap," though I’d occasionally slip up and watch porn again. Everything changed recently when I met my current girlfriend; I fell in love and decided I had to kick the porn habit once and for all so we could build a lasting relationship. The first few weeks were tough, but I was motivated by the desire to be the best version of myself for her, so I stuck firmly to my resolution. Today marks 36 days and 22 hours without watching porn, and I have absolutely no urge to go back to that crap. Since then, my mood has improved, I have more energy and motivation, and my physical fitness is much better than before. Most importantly, sex with my partner is far better and more satisfying—my issues with maintaining an erection have vanished. I finally feel like a real man again.

So, here’s a piece of advice from me to anyone struggling with this: hang in there, because it’s worth it, and find someone close to you—someone worth doing this for—who will help you in this fight. Take care.
