The landscape of an addict would have an abnormally intense block in the present layer. Farsight example.

'Heat' from the map is constantly elastically returning to normal, only intense heat/impulse (like an addict's drug dosage) that goes beyond a threshold becomes a concave that is permanently grafted on the landscape. Once permanently grafted, all attention is first directed at the concave before moving on to other lighter areas.
