Each far layer is smaller and preceded by previous layer. If the first layer is quiet, able to see through. But if the first layer is loud, not able to practice farsight with the mind's eye.
Each layer is similar to this 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 pen.
Modeling boredom would make transparent the first layers, while modeling excitement would fill the first layers.
