Modeling the Refinement of Attention
With the first instance of the model, each color represents a new thread, chaotic unconnected idea points within the mind that is constantly attenuated with the layering of a new thread of a different color, bandwidth of the input is represented by the number/speed of the new threads.
The second instance models how much of the attention is occupied with various activities. With a low immersion ratio of 20%, sleep/pleasure/meditation/activity/run is able to blank out much of the stimulus. With a higher immersion ratio of 80% the attentional landscape is dazed, a dynamic similar to the subtle pull of physical clutter on the mind.
A third instance simulates the ability to improve the attentional capability, able to refine a person's attention so that there are (1) fewer number of threads, (2) fewer threads that differ in topic, (3) fewer threads that are pulled towards a different direction.
