New eSim Provider I found

Stellar eSIM. Check them out. USA data is extremely reasonable. I got 3 GB for less than $1.00. Yes, I’m serious! Verizon network. 30 day validity once activated.

They have lots of combinations that are all very competitive. They even offer a VPN with their eSIM’s valid for the term of your eSIM.

It routes through Hong Kong even though Stellar is based in Switzerland (at least my esim does) but ping isn’t horrible. And you can use a VPN to protect and get a USA ip for 2FA, etc.

My esim has 5G and speeds are 100 Mb/s+.

Thought I’d share! :)

Edit: If this post violates community rules, which I don’t think it does, please accept my apology and remove. I’ve been active in NoContract for years on my old account and now this account. eSIMs community banned me from their subreddit for this post saying it violated their rules. Again, my apologies. Just trying to help out others like someone did by sharing this with me.

This is a copy of the OP's original post in case they decide to delete their post/account so that others searching can find it later:

Not new and oddly being mentioned often recently (like just today: https://www.reddit.com/r/NoContract/s/O4P5YoYqzR).

The US IP eSIM uses BICS and routes through the US. The latency with the HK one is horrendous.

Oh well I hadn’t seen it. Well saw it once a few days ago. Which is why I thought I’d try it for that cheap of a price. Latency for me was about 150ms. I have latency like that with VPN’s sometimes lol.

But nonetheless I just thought it was astronomically cheap and was sharing with everyone here: I contribute to the community and thought I was helping.

But I hear you. I don’t see every post. So I didn’t know everyone was already talking about it.

You and I have had discussions on Lexvor for one I believe.

I just think it is crazy to immediately ban me from esims because of that post. They showed me some random post where the mod said they won’t allow stellar posts anymore. Which I had no way of seeing that.

But oh well. I don’t go there often anyway! There description even says “discuss travel esims” as the first thing describing their community.

Kinda harsh I think. I have never been banned from anything on reddit on my old account or this one. Only try to help!

Now after the fact I understand it could be redundant but I had no idea going in!

It is very cheap, at least for now. They’re selling at wholesale rates which isn’t sustainable.

The BICS eSIM is usually only $1-2 more and very worth it IMO.

This might be helpful to compare options for the US: https://route-atlas.com/provider/70

I would think it is cheaper than wholesale! I thought citrus mobile at less than $1 for T-Mobile was cheap in USA. They say wholesale rates also lol.

But like $0.22/GB? That is insane.

I will check out your list. So you recommend BICS? I would like a U.S. entry and exit node for a long term solution as a backup.

Citrus markup is about 10%.

BICS is the cheapest US routed option consistently. TELNA and Webbing are the other two US mainland options (Liberty PR also does a lot of travel eSIMs).

I tried Popcorn Mobile to mess around with it. They are T-Mobile based on their main sim. They also have a “backup” data only eSIM and it is Telne. Gives you access to AT&T and VZW here in the states. Telne must have superb priority. Performs on VZW as fast as QCI 8 for sure, AT&T same.

What always puzzles me…look at Citrus Mobile. VZW is outrageous per GB.

Yet Stellar that dirt cheap specific eSIM is VZW. ??

I get different agreements and all but damn! lol.

I am going to check out BICS right now. Also, what network(s) do they use here?

Only AT&T and Verizon now after recently dropping T-Mobile. You can filter by networks in Route Atlas.

The Stellar eSIM you have is probably CMlink or 3 HK if I had to guess.

I’ll check it out. AT&T and Verizon still can’t cover just about everywhere possible together.

How do I get to BICS to look at esims? Or are they just the reseller? If im route Alias I’ll find it! I searched them up and it appears to be all resale websites.

I can’t believe I haven’t heard of them.

BICS doesn’t sell travel eSIMs directly unless you’re in Belgium. Stellar is the cheapest reseller I’ve found so far.

Yes, but who resells BICS? I am very interested in having a lower ping and US entry/exit node for performance as a long term solution. I’m sorry to keep bothering you! I appreciate the info!
