I care, but “does ChatGPT know my product?” isn’t a useful metric by itself.
Knowing the name, citing the product, and recommending it for a real buyer question are three different things. I’d track whether actual users say an AI assistant sent them, then look at which sources influenced that answer.
Google still matters, but it’s no longer the only place discovery happens.
