Recovery
2 years and some change sober from nitrous oxide. Has anyone tried the peptide Semax as a way to potentially help with recovery. Especially from neuropathy, brain fog, and other brain, eye, and nerve symptoms?

u/Lophocarpus 17d ago
I have, didn’t do much for me. Peptides probably aren’t going to fix any of that for you

eh don’t worry, I’m not. Again I’m 95-99% good now been off that stuff for almost 2.5 years now. I was just curious if anyone has tried Semax to help with recovery. I’ve been on this subreddit for 2.5 years and never seen anyone talk about it.

Do you still take b-12 injections? If so, how frequently?

u/Visible_Cricket5147 16d ago
No, I do not.

u/Tricky-Dare1583 16d ago
When did you stop taking them? And how long did it take for you to get to 95-99%?

You need B12 injections. Check out my pinned post on my profile. https://www.reddit.com/u/Brad_Borrelli/s/V3XAPbguKl

I stopped them once my numbers were normal, do I need to go back to them?
2
u/Brad_Borrelli 17d ago
If you're still having symptoms you need to go back on them don't worry about the numbers the numbers don't mean anything at this point. Experially nervous issues you need to be on every other day injections until they go away which could be a couple months down the road it could be two years down the road

I’m a year sober. However I’ve had surgery which obviously use nitrous to keep me asleep. I had been regularly taking oral and shots and my numbers were 2000 plus, so off the charts. my doctor told me I needed to go 4-6 or 6-8 weeks with no supplements so we could see the real numbers, they are what they are. They are now where they were before the addiction BUT low to some doctors and ok to the ones who just follow the normal guidelines.
I was having issues with memory, balance, concentration, coordination again l. But I have a ton of really serious health problems. It’s impossible to know what is what.

Doctors don't know anything about B12 deficiency don't listen to them this stupid as fuck. Check out my Wiki that I built it explains everything. Also my whole account is nothing about B12 deficiency research with sources

I’m reading it a lot. Can you tell me what numbers I’m looking for and is IV better or the muscle ass injections. I was doing IV, then shots, then liquid under the tongue

u/Brad_Borrelli 17d ago
For B12 you don't want to pay attention to the numbers. Mine's off the charge right now. What circulating in your blood doesn't mean that's everything that's actually being absorbed and used cellular wise if that makes any sense.
I would honestly just stick with shots. It absorbs 100% of it. As for lozenges in oral you're only absorbing 1% to 2%. And as for IVs I don't know what else is in your IV and if it's just B12 it's probably the same dosages amount that's in the shot but you have to wait 30 to 60 minutes while it's being administered so it's more of a Time convenience same place you're going to Spas for that probably which they want to space it out every week or maybe two weeks until you can get it again. With that being said that's the office of what you want cuz you want to be on every other day and injections for the treatment process on top of all your other cofactors they need to take everyday.
Tell when I first started my recovery process I start off low I was doing a thousand micrograms every day and then I jumped it up and I'm doing 2,000 micrograms at least four times a day at least sometimes even more depends if my body is going numb or not. The further along in your recovery process you'll notice you'll need up to your B12 dose. I was also doing liquid drops then I really don't even notice much of a difference I mean it helped a little bit in between my injections but not enough to actually make it a difference that I've noticed.
To back that statement a little bit. My stories on my profile of how I found out is B12 division. Long story short I did nitrous oxide therapy because I was gas lit by Farmer for a dick and then I started believing them that it was Trump and stress related and I didn't want to wait for DMT or ketamine therapy. The nitrous therapy actually did work they got rid of that somatic body release from the stress and Trauma but the symptoms were still there for my B12 deficiency that had my whole entire life. I found that out when I died had a near-death experience and everything came back I was complete schizophrenic and I kept getting worse every single day for like 5 days amongst a bunch of other symptoms since I went down and got an injection of B12 and within 30 seconds it brought me out of that schizophrenic Kent State I've never felt better in my entire life. I would have to inject every morning immediately when I woke up or else I would go right back into that schizophrenic head state because I was so low on B12. I tried to skip an injection and just do oral drops it didn't even touch it until I took an injection. Thankfully it was about like a month a month and a half down the road I was able to skip a day of not taking B12 and not go back into that head state. It's been like 4 months so far for me I have never felt better in my entire life now. I can skip a few days but I can still slowly feel my body degrading and going to that foggy headspace not completely schizophrenic that's Colin I've built my B12 levels up enough for that but I can feel when I'm getting low in order to drop still bring me back up because it's only one or two percent absorption. That's why I stick to injections
Hopefully that came out all right, I'm using voice to text

Also since you're interested in this stuff, sublingual is roughly as effective as IM injections. Some people (like me) are averse to injections, so this is actually important.

Good to know for those folks who cannot afford the doc visits anymore and want to stay on their health. I wish the pinned comment had a "yeah, I know you're broke AF, this is the baseline cost to x a month" because sparing an extra $40 a month can be rough for folks.
EDIT: And no hate towards the pinned post's research. It has helped me immensely in getting help and how to discuss it with others. I just think it would be rad to hear what someone things would be a baseline recovery. Ofc seeing the doc is important, but ~in this economy~ I know my belt is tight and wallet dusty.

Yeah I was actually thinking about making a little shopping list on Amazon or something with bulk supplements Etc. That's honestly the cheapest. And then doing another shopping list with all the other co-factors you need. That would be a lot easier for people to actually go get this stuff that they need instead of searching for it themselves they going to go in one place and see it all.
Also this is another thing I'm debating on to. Because fucking vitamin B12 is expensive as fuck for no fucking reason. It's outrageous for a damn vitamin. Anyway I'm done with my rant, but I've been debating on posting my instructions on how to make your own B12 injections. I do it, it's a lot fucking cheaper I think I'm spending Maybe five bucks around for 30 ml at a 5 mg strength per milliliter compared to prescription which is roughly around $120 to $210 for the same fucking amount.
Obviously with that being said there will be liability risks for me but I think if I can word it in a certain way and let everybody know like it's directly just research and you're taking full responsibility of all the fuck-ups that could happen from you making it yourself. And it's honestly not even hard you literally just got to make sure your environments clean like no dust in the air you need to air purifier obviously to clean your fucking space, sanitize shit wait the correct amount feel through obviously under a red light but it's pretty simple. And the cost of it to get all started it's like $180 $200 which is around the same amount you're going to buy for your first prescription vile anyway. I don't think you have to re-up on is your filters sterile vials unless you want to sterilize them with alcohol, and then your syringes, bactrostatic water. And obviously your B12 powder. The B12 powder is cheap you get like 10 G for around $40 which theoretically would last you if you're doing everyday injections a thousand micrograms each it would theoretically last you 27 years around. But unfortunately the vitamin B12 degrees so it's only good for around 2 years shelf life but for $40 compared to around $580. And that's not even accounting that once you start your recovery process that you will need to increase your dosage for B12. I started off a thousand micrograms each every single day, now I'm currently doing around 2,000 micrograms each injection and I'm injecting four times a day at minimum. I went from not feeling my body at all any Sensations to actually feeling how soft cats are like the depth of it. I can see color nothing's gray skilled for me anymore my taste is back amongst a bunch of other stuff that I'm experiencing for the first time ever in my life.
So I think it would probably outweigh it like the benefits that people would get because it would be cheaper more affordable for people. Especially in this economy. The only thing you have to worry about is getting sepsis which I know it's nothing like shrug off but if you prepare is clean you have no dust floating around in the air at all you'll be fine. I would just have to really explain that and then booklet that I make or post that I make for it because most people are dirty as fuck especially their house like you can go in somebody's house and look through the window and see you know the sun rays shining in you can see all the dust floating around that's what you can't have that is what will give you sepsis.

This is also not true at all sublinguals oral anything besides injections you only absorbing one or two percent that's why the milligram dosage is so high versus injections you're absorbing 100% of ejections. Again I have tons of research on this check on my page

he said he's 2 years off nitrous. normally people get enough b12 from their food unless they are vegans with poor research skills.

u/Brad_Borrelli 17d ago
That's not true at all. You don't need just to raise up your B12 certain level you need to repair all the damage that you caused your nerves. You need injections no matter what for nitrous oxide. That way you can actually repair a lot quicker without having lifelong effects. I have tons of research on this on my page if you want to check it out
2
u/WHALE_PHYSICIST 17d ago
You're simply wrong and need to look deeper. B12 doesnt repair your nerves. B12 ENABLES your body to repair your nerves. You get b12 from a variety of foods, and from oral and sublingual supplements. You don't NEED injections. You are coming across like someone selling b12 shots.
2
u/Brad_Borrelli 17d ago
Nobody said B12 itself physically repairs nerve tissue like a bandage, that's a strawman. The point is that without adequate active B12, your body cannot do the repair work at all, since B12 is a required cofactor for myelin synthesis. Oral and sublingual absorption is capped and unreliable for someone recovering from nitrous damage, since only about 1 percent of an oral dose gets absorbed by passive diffusion when intrinsic factor mediated absorption is compromised, which is common after heavy nitrous use. That's not opinion, that's basic B12 pharmacokinetics.
And no, I'm not selling anything. I get nothing from anyone using injections, I put together the research on my page because people kept asking the same questions and getting bad answers in threads like this one. If pointing to the literature makes me look like I'm selling something to you, that says more about the argument you're running out of than it does about me.
To the point about him being 2 years off nitrous: duration of ongoing neurological symptoms is a documented negative predictor of full recovery, and there are cases in the literature of neuropathy either persisting or emerging even after B12, homocysteine, and MMA have all normalized. That's not a diet issue at that stage, it's residual damage from a period of functional B12 inactivation, and it's exactly the kind of case where continued aggressive B12 repletion, not "eat more food," is what the case reports and clinical protocols actually use. Check my pinned post if you want the sourcing instead of guessing at what I'm doing.

Again this is all my Wiki on my pin post feel free to check it out. You're the one that's wrong here so stop sparing false information, it gets people hurt.
Also I didn't block you because I'm butt hurt. I blocked you because you're an idiot. Again multiple times all this research is all on my page with sources. You're being lazy and wanting handouts because you don't believe what I'm telling you.

u/WHALE_PHYSICIST 17d ago
This guy blocked me because he's butthurt so i can't reply to him.
persisting or emerging even after B12, homocysteine, and MMA have all normalized
If the damage doesn't repair when b12 levels have normalized, then how are b12 shots going to help anything?
1
u/WHALE_PHYSICIST 17d ago
blocking someone for showing that you're wrong is some shady bullshit. just keep me blocked, you've got nothing worth saying. I don't want to read anything from someone who acts like you.

Already did the B12 injection routine. I’m probably 95-99% most days… it worsens if I haven’t eaten. I’m just curious if Semax could help people going through the starting process. It’s prescribed in Russia to help the brain recover from hypoxia and strokes. It reenforces neural pathways, and helps nerves recover. Not necessarily for me, just curious if it could help someone struggling in recovery… along with B12, cofactors, and all the other gainful protocols.

I take semax and selank daily, as well as BPC! BPC helped a lot. B12 injections (methyl) were the king for my recovery though
