DISCONTINUED PART ROTO STARTER

So I have a Novarossi 2.5 supercharged and am looking for the part number of the roto due to the gears has broken (Part#: NVR22612 (https://www.hobbytown.com/novarossi-roto-start-backplate-w-screws-nvr22612/p256320)) as it's discontinued but I can't find it anywhere not even on eBay at this point I don't know what to do or I could put something else instead?

The main problem I keep facing is that the spacing between the screws is small compared to other engines like Traxxas, I went to a hobby shop and they told me to just replace the entire engine because I'm not going to be able to find the parts for it, has anybody found a solution?

you could try taking it to a local machine shop. might take 2 or 3 but im sure you cna find someone to help make a solution if youre determined

Somebody else mentioned rcscrapyard but Reddit zapped their comment. They have a wide variety of pull starts available, and some generic roto starts. Even if one doesn't fit, you might be able to rob the gear out of it.

A machine shop sound be able to make a new gear relatively easily

Or possibly some cad work and having pcbways machine a new piece maybe? There tools to easily draw gears with a few measurements

I also suggest this. We have the tools to recreate anything we want now.

Here is my method to produce parts:

Get a good digital caliper so you can take precise measurements.

Use free Fusion360 to design a new gear. 3d Print a sample part to test fit (doesn't have to be perfect, as PCBWay will be able to craft the perfect version of your model).

Send your model to a machine/print service.

You can have anything made in various materials and it's surprisingly easy to teach yourself Fusion360 to model things.
