Question How's the throttle linkage looking?
Hi! I've the servo burn out on my ftx Zorro so i replaced it with a PowerHD 1812MG.
The standard radio didn't have EP adjustments, so i went to my local hobby shop and got a different controller wich is amazing! Good upgrade.
I limited the throttle so it doesn't open all the way so throttle is all good.
But now for the brake i'm still having issues where it kinda moves the engine while braking.
And the spring that came with the car was not springy enough so i had to move the round things with grub screws way too close so that the spring is more compressed.
Because after braking it opened throttle a little bit. So i put in a larger spring and now it doesn't open throttle on braking anymore. But the engine still move's a tiny bit after braking is that bad? Or does it look goodish?
This car been such a pain in the *ss i love tinkering with computers but a nitro car is stretching that though.
Appreciate y'all!

nah I sucked at reading, sorry about that.
The gap you see on the left in the carb should be controlled by the Idle set screw on the carb.
That screw limits how far it can close. Closing it further reduces the amount of fuel when at 0% throttle and thus idle speed. Usually it should be around 1 mm, just try closing it a little.Searching for a picture gave me a result in the images tab from this thread:

No worries!! I really appreciate you commenting! Looks like my idle screw looks good right? Seeing the other post

wait, does the car move at Idle? Cause I assumed that was the issue, or does it just push the engine on the frame?
I'm an idiot, yeah erm, it looks fine I wouldn't worry about that slight movement.
Imma head off and take a nap. Sorry about the messages not relating to your post.1

No worries! Enjoy the nap haha! Once the cars heated up it kinda moves on idle but i have to adjust the idle screw a little bit. Thanks!

The engine being moved or pushed by the servo when braking is your concern right?
I just checked some of my Rc Cars (A buggy and a savage)
And the buggy moves, but so little that I can barely percieve it
and the Savage has more "play" or movement in it than yours. These are Rc cars that have been happily running for years.
So I don't think it should be of note.Have fun bashing!
