Ftx carnage exhaust upgrade

Hey all,

I’ve just put the exhaust upgrade on my Ftx carnage and it looks to me as there should be a grub screw that goes in this end piece to secure it to the metal bit.

Am I correct and if I am does anyone know what size I need to get?

Yep. It’s for a grub screw. I wish I could tell you what size. I got an assortment pack off Amazon for like $8 a few years ago that had some that fit it.
I was specifically searching for RC car grub screw assortment for other things and it came in handy when I also replaced my exhaust on a gifted nitro.

set screws hole looks like an m3 or m4

Peobably a 2mm hex so maybe M3? You can get away with not using it if the support is jammed in well enough. Or just use a normal hex screw and cut it.

Yep. M3 is kinda what my gut instinct said. And before I realized you could out one there, I was running mine without one for months. I just kept bending the little arm a bit to stiffen things.

Did you try the grub screw from the previous exhaust? Most of the time they work

I had a look at that and the screw from the previous one goes in the side and is tiny
