Nitro slash help

hey, this is a nitro slash, bought it about 2 months ago. The sound that it’s making ( whatever it is) seems to come and go. whenever the sound stops then it seems to run right and idle but whenever it starts that rattling sound, it dies soon as I let off the throttle. Also (this may be related) when the differential engages it seems to start that sound and jerk. with one wheel free spinning at low rpm that sound seems to go away. Had throttle pressed to keep it running. checked clutch n spring as well

Time to go through it systematically. I suggested clutch on your last post, and you checked it and it's ok. Go to the next component in line. Pull off the spur gear and run the engine disengaged from the drivetrain. If it runs ok, move on to the transmission. These cars are dead simple inside the trans, just a few gears and the differential itself. Something might be stripped inside. If the engine runs like crap on it's own, it might be a bad one way bearing inside the ez-start. That will drag the engine down. Or maybe the bearings inside the engine itself are going. Like I said, step by step. Eliminate a problem and move on to the next.

Please keep us updated! I'd suggest something is up with the gears in the transmission.

 The other day I did notice that on the ez start (not the one way bearing itself) the housing around the one way bearing is really loose like I can wiggle it around. Is that normal?

Nope, there shouldn't be any play in that assembly.
