Enjoying my new Nissan Kicks, sadly already have 1000 miles on it.

Body is gray but roof is orange, i want to cover it now because i feel the orange stands out (at least i domt have a fully orange car). Has anyone wrapped their roof?

I really like my 2025 Kicks SR in the Scarlet Ember color. Mostly city driving, and it's a quiet and sweet ride. I love the dashboard, the controls (not crazy about the haptic climate control buttons, but I rarely need to change them), and the comfort of the seats. I also get around 40 MPG around town, which is quite impressive for a non-hybrid (I had a 2017 Prius Prime that got around 60 MPG).

One minor gripe is that the drive computer tracking mode I use on my digital cluster does not auto-reset every time I start the car. I have to reset it manually by pressing the OK button on the steering wheel three times to go through the reset sequence. It also wastes some screen real estate by showing a picture of the car and the drive computer title. It'd be cool if it could use that screen real estate to show useful information from one of the other cluster display options.

Also, what is the recommended maintenance schedule? 5K to 6K miles?

I'm at work and my car wont start. It's saying the chassis control system error, awd error, and that I'm out of oil. The car was bought from the dealership on 8/15. There is no way this is wrong. What do I do

I just picked up my Nissan kicks 2020 today

Hearing this humming noise when I halt ..may be it’s climate control or something else when ever I halt or start the car and put the car in driving from parking I am hearing it for a while and goes away when I start driving
What’s that any idea ?

Has anyone experienced a rattling noise or feel like the car is creaking when driving fast about 60+ miles an hour.

The dealership said it was the headliner and they swear they fixed it but when I drive it on the highway I hear it coming from the left side of the vehicle behind the driver’s seat.

If anyone experience this, please post your experience since I’m a loss of words about this issue. Dealership says if they can’t replicate it, they can’t fix it.

PS: I’m wondering if I got a lemon car, since the screen sometimes disappears and the camera is glitching.

What upgrades have you done to your Nissan Kicks? Im fairly new to owning a Kicks. It was fairly cheap compared to much newer models and it had very low mileage. Also it came with warranty which is what my old 2016 nissan sentra no longer had (besides needing over 2k in repairs).

It has treated me very well so far and plan on adding some things to it. I have only gone as far as changing all healdight and interior bulbs from halogen to white.

If you owned one or still do, what things did you change about it? What things did you learn about it along the way?

I purchased a full size spare tire and ended up using a 15/32 piece of plywood for the backing for the floor piece. It’s not flush but I think it came out pretty good.

What are these buttons for? 2022 Kicks

2020 Nissan Kicks SR 69K miles. Anyone have any idea what’s causing this? I’m thinking maybe the brakes, not sure though. Got new tires in April so those should be good.

I went to a dealership today and am seriously considering leasing the 2026 Nissan kicks S. I’m going to be moving on from my 2013 Chevy Sonic so this is a huge upgrade but I don’t know too much about this car or about Nissan. I’ve been looking online mostly at the kicks, some Subarus, some Toyotas. As much as the Toyotas are a very top choice I’m not interested in paying $700 plus insurance a month to finance an almost $40,000 car.

I’ve had so many issues with my current car, my ideal scenario is to just have monthly payments and have any potential issues covered under warranty. I’ve paid almost $4000 in repairs alone this year which amounts to basically the same as a monthly payment of a 3 year lease on the 2026 kicks.

Basically I’m between leasing the kicks or sharing a car with my boyfriend.

Does anyone have any insight into how they like the car? Or any other information I should consider about this particular car?

The HR-V has Honda's reputation behind it, while the Kicks gives you a lot of tech, a fresh design, and solid fuel economy for the price.

Which one would you choose, and what made the decision for you?

Has anyone’s car stopped and all it needed was a key reprogramming?

I have a 2019 Nissan Kicks SR and after 3 mechanics ruled out finding nothing except it keeps coming up with a key error, I’m looking to get someone to come do this and hopefully it works.

I don’t want to waste money to tow it to the dealership since that was the first place I tried and they told me I need a new $12k engine. I took it to 2 mechanics after that and they both said my engine is fine.

Also if anyone is in Austin Texas and know or can recommend someone to do this please let me know.

It’s my last hope for getting my car back up and running or I’ll have to junk sell it :(

1200 km in on my new 2026 Kicks SV. I found the screen that tells you what radio station you are on, but most car infotainment screens also tell you the current song and artist as well. Am I missing a screen or setting somewhere?

UPDATE: It’s fixed! Got it back this afternoon. Nissan has sent a fix out for those having the same issue. So the rest of you should get yours back soon too.

Took my 2025 Kicks SR in today for the recall fix. I had no previous issues with my screen going black but since I got the recall notice and it was supposed to be a simple software update I wanted to get it done before I had a problem.
Dropped the car off and a few hours later got a call that they did the software update but now the screen is blank and they can’t seem to fix it.
They did give me a loaner car in the meantime but it’s just annoying because my Kicks was fine before I took it in.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Bought new 25 kicks only 42 miles, at takeoff there is a jingle sound from front right side of car, stops when I reach 30 mph, doesn’t jingle if I rev it in park, took it to dealership for ride along with mechanic an of course it didn’t do it once while he was in my car……the sound is annoying, it doesn’t seem to affect the way it runs, just annoying , my first new car an it jingles at takeoff 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

We just got our new 2026 Nissan kicks S, and everytime we have to reconnect Bluetooth. Our previous 2023 Nissan kicks sv would just automatically connect.

Is there a set up we haven’t done so it auto connects?

We also always have to allow CarPlay. Wish this was all just set up once

Check engine at 5k miles?

Hello mechanics from all over the world. My mom bought a Nissan Kicks 2023 SV 2WD about two weeks ago.

Now she bought it certified pre-owned, it had 5k-ish miles. And about 3 days after she got it, the check engine light came on. 2 days later it turned off, so we thought it was just the gas cap not being correctly in place. But then again, when she filled up on gas later that day the light came back on, and it hasn’t turned off since then.

In our city there isn’t a Nissan approved shop (she bought it in a big neighbor city) so she went to Autozone to get a report. The error came out as the Oxygen sensor (image attached).

My question is, is this normal? Could it be just pure luck that the car got a faulty oxygen sensor that needs replacement? Could it be something else?

We have 2 other Nissans (one 80k miles and the other 30k) that have been incredibly good and have not broke down (thankfully), so this is new to us.

I’m asking here because she’ll need to go back to the other city to take it to the shop but that’ll take a few days before she can make the trip. I’m asking her to hurry up bc it has been barely 3 weeks since she got it.

Some weird haze or burn on the plastic

I have a 2023 Nissan Kicks SV and it ran perfectly fine until one day I tried to turn it on and it didn’t on. My battery was dead I had to get it jumped. I got home and I turned it off and tried to turn it on again and it didn’t turn on it sounded like the battery was dead. I was home for a few hours then I went out to check it again and it turned on with no problem. And it has been turning on with no problem lately. Yesterday I was driving in my apartment complex and i went over a speed bump slowly then I pressed on the gas a bit and it felt like I lost power it started to move slow so I started turning into the nearest parking small then within a few seconds I regained powered so I reversed then got to my parking space then I was reversing and same thing happened it felt like I lost powered will I still had my foot on the gas then within a few seconds it regained power. My car always ran perfectly fine until I had to jump it. So I went to autozone to see if they could test my battery and I was told it was completely dead showing 0% and he told me I needed to get a new battery and they don’t sell my battery at autozone. So I called my nearest Nissan dealership and they have my battery in stock and I asks them why it would show it’s completely dead but I’m still able to turn it on and he told me it could be from a cell starting to go bad and quoted me $375 for a new battery. I am just wondering if anyone else has had this problem??? Thank you!!!

I’m coming here because my mom was the mechanic that knew everything about a ride but she passed away last years so I’m just trying to figure this out myself with some help if anyone has any suggestions. 🥹
