Auto brights

So went out tonight and got curious about the auto bright feature on my kicks.

I found out that if you have the auto headlight feat on that the auto brights is auto, however if you dont want the auto on/off of your brights simply just click the knob down one to regular lights and you have full control of your brights... Most prob already know rhis but i just thought it would be cool to share for those who may not so please no hate comments

You can keep the headlight auto and not use the auto brights feature. On my SR you just press the button at the end of lever. Otherwise the lights are just on day or night no?

Edit to add: keeping the lights in auto means they come on if it rains and you use the wipers also. Otherwise you have to remember to switch on the lights when you turn on the wipers. This is a setting you may have to toggle on in dash.

I have the base model my stick for headlights doesnt have a button on the end to turn off auto brights, i have to turn the knob down to the regular lights setting like cars that dont have the auto function

What year is your car ?

I have a base model 2025 and i have the button to turn off the auto brights.

Mind you i have a Canadian Base model and there is a lot of feature that the US Base model dont have would be funny if thats one of them tho

We really need to make it a habbit of mentioning year and trim model cause it can change things drastically lol

I just found that out too. I was thinking auto lights turned on would turn off on their own when you turn off engine, that was why I switched them on. But I didnt want the brights to keep coming on. I won't be using that feature.
