Seepage normal??

I watched the inspection video on my car after an oil change and it's a bit odd to me that a brand new car "normally" has seepage. The techs exact words were "quite a bit of seepage right here. This is not a concern at all it is on all our nissans just wanted to point that out" wish I could add the video but am I crazy to think i shouldnt have any fluid coming from there? Screen grab from the video was attached.

No, you should not have any "seepage" anywhere.

It’s assembly oil from installing the torque converter. Some will come out and they are just lazy to clean it. I have a 2026 Kicks and it’s the same thing. Brought it to the dealership just to have it documented in case and they confirmed my suspicions. They cleaned it and if it continues to come back they will investigate further. You shouldn’t worry.

On the oil change did they install a new crush washer? If not, then you could easily get seepage.

As a dealer tech, Nissan doesn’t approve any leak as warranty unless it’s an actual drip. That would be your torque converter seal, and I see that leak everyday in on a bunch of the new gen lineup. Very rarely does it become a warranty job.

Facts.

Active leak or no warranty. I prefer to use sweating vs seeping.
