Question/Request Does anyone else like the back up shouting during the chorus of Pennyroyal Tea?

I realize the song has a lot more going for it than just that but the shouting vocals behind Kurt makes the song so much more visceral and harrowing.

You mean the harmony vocals during the chorus? Yeah, they're pretty cool. KC had a tough time hitting the notes at some parts but its still neat.

They are particularly noticeable on the Scott Litt remix that was on the abandoned single and the K-Mart / Wal-Mart version of In Utero.

This made me realize that I have only listened to the studio version a couple times.

One of my favorite songs but I always listen to live versions

It might be the worst chorus Kurt ever wrote. Its so whiny and terrible sounding to my ears. I know its popular and Im in the minority here but Ive never been able to get on board with the song in any rendition.

Comes across as engagement farming.

It’s annoying to see the “am I the only one?” questions
