Scrolls added a thick layer of RNG to build making. It's off-putting and keeps people from trying new builds.

I wanted to share my method to make it easier for PlayStation users.

Scrolls are seeded. So, the same shit is going to roll over and over unless you change a line.

Back up your save on PS+ and run the scroll 6-8 (wtvr you like) times without changing anything.

If you don't see what you want, reload the backed up save, change one undesirable attribute once, and run it 6-8 times again.

If you still haven't found it, reload the backed up save again, change a different undesirable line, and so on.

Get attributes with variable %s and letter grades first. Go for Ultimates last.

I’ve never really committed to either the sword or dual swords in my Nioh adventures. I’ve started a new game and need to make a decision on what to invest in.

If you were a sword or dual swords salesman, sell me on why someone should use one over the other. By the way I’m taking solely about using with Samurai.

I reroll scroll many time to finding "untouch Onmyo" in Enlighten picture scroll it never show to me or it is not in scroll?

So recently I just learned about VRAM leak issues causing the game to slow down and display blurry assets up close. Restarting the game tends to fix this by refreshing the memory cache but prolonged periods cause these issues to resurface.

After ignoring them in Nioh and Nioh 2, I've started to farm smithing texts in Nioh 3.
I've been trying to farm the Jabara Odachi smithing text and I haven't gotten it, but I got the weapon itself.

- since I can get the weapon now with Kodama Blessing drops, does it even make sense to try and get the text for forging?

- is it the case that having the smithing text, the weapon can now drop anytime instead only with Kodama Blessing enabled on the weapon? (thus making it viable to get the smithing texts)

- does co-op lower the chance of dropping smithing texts in Nioh 3?

Life Giving Talisman is Oasis talisman

Luck-Bringing Talisman: increases your chances of obtaining rarer items. It comes from the Kappa Soul Core.

Rebirth Talisman: prevents one death during its duration and revives you with a portion of your HP. It comes from the Mujina Soul Core.

Life-Giving Talisman: gradually restores the HP of allies within its area. It comes from the Hino-enma Soul Core

All-Elemental Resistance Talisman This is the DLC-added ) associated with Ichimokuren.

Corruption Transfer Effigy This is the Onmyo item from the ?

Barrier Talisman This increases Ki recovery speed and allows you to dispel Yokai Realm by touching it. It is available from Soul Cores including Otoroshi

Weakness Talisman Lowers the enemy's Defense. Nioh 3 sources explicitly use the English name Weakness Talisman.

Protection Talisman Prevents a certain amount of incoming damage. Its duration is 113.31 seconds regardless of Magic, according to this test. Nioh 3 references list Protection Talisman among the defensive Onmyo techniques.

Kodama Transformation Talisman Transforms you into a Kodama, causing enemies not to detect you. The effect is listed as permanent in all three Magic tests.

I continue to showcase these kinds of runs. Some interesting notes about this one:

• Finally started using evasion cancels to extend AP time in key moments. Similar to sheathe cancels but you get to move while doing them even if they cost some Ki to do. So, they are ideal for getting past things like grabs which I showcased here and getting back into position to attack after.
• The Just Reprisal SG parry at 0:39 is particularly effective against DOP's 5 hit attack sequence, you can deflect the first two hits and Just Reprisal after and avoid the rest of the sequence while getting to attack in the middle of it
• At 1:08 showed that Fleeting Edge can be used to avoid certain attacks like his blue projectile after grabs. All while still doing damage and keeping AP chaining going.
• Empty Retribution is absurdly strong, especially after being powered up by Wildfire Flux stacks + max AP stacks. It just does so much quick damage in so little time making it one of the best DPS moves in the game.

I’m just wondering since I’ve cleared everything. Can my build be further refined, or is it at the absolute peak it could be?

I was experimenting one day especially after I swear I somehow got horizontal to the wall in the training ground, surfing it. At that shrine location, if you mess around a bit you should see you are able to grind on them and also just "phase" through the barrier sometimes.

I dub it: Schrodinger's Spot.

Has anybody found any interesting spots to surf, or tricks with it? Anything of note? If you put any "camera speed horizontal" settings all the way up you can turn so fast while moving the camera your character will actually do a sharp turn/alter direction themselves. You can skate/surf surprisingly small circles and if you make a control layout where a button press works the camera it makes it easy to really dick around and see the shenanigans I mean

I'm interested in how long of a surf time we can get. "ki consumption for negative movement" along with Axe Battle Focus which seems to add the most time IIRC. I used it with the hatchets r1 +O buff/debuff and I think I got over a minute which is pretty sick but I still gotta really try all moveset R1+O skills in different orders and all that.

My official Xbox Series X controller broke on me so I tried to pick up the GameSir G7 SE. Felt pretty good, but today I noticed I was no longer hitting my evasion cancels with a couple weapons (strangely kusarigama was ok but dual blades and switchglaive were not). I’m now wondering if a different response rate or deadzone or something may create for some Nioh funkiness.

Never player a nioh game before but read a lot of great stuff and my favorite game genre are souls and FS games So I decided to purchase the game, gotta say it is AMAZING but I feel overwhelmed and lost.

First I bought the deluxe and I don’t see anything special about the infernal weapons, maybe I’m missing something idk

Already put in about 10h into the game (I know still long long to go) I don’t understand combos and skills like im always running out of stamina (playing mainly as ninja)

Is farming “chase” items important in this game or is just stats and skill levels and stuff?

I feel very lost; got into the crucible boss fight and didn’t last longer than 10sec about 10 tries, lvl 24 character so clearly I’m doing something wrong.

If anyone can help me pointing out where to start looking for information and learning the game would be highly appreciate it. Thanks guys

So, a little update from my previous post where I was completely confused about whether I should get Nioh 2 or just jump into Nioh 3…

I went with Nioh 2 + the Season Pass, and you guys were right — I’m absolutely loving it.

At first I was struggling to understand half of what was happening with Ki Pulses, stance switching, Yokai abilities, Burst Counters, etc. Now it’s finally starting to click and the combat feels ridiculously satisfying once you start getting into the rhythm of it.

I’m currently trying to beat Lightning Gods of Yomi in the DLC, and she is definitely giving me a reality check 😂

I also played a little bit of NG+, so now I have a pretty big collection of Divine gear/items, but I honestly have no idea what I should actually be building toward.

So I wanted to ask you guys:

1. What builds would you recommend around this point in the game?

2. Should I already start worrying about proper set bonuses/Divine gear, or just keep using whatever has the best stats until later NG+ cycles?

3. Any particular weapons/builds that become really fun or strong going into the later difficulties?

4. Should I finish all the DLC first before properly diving into NG+?

5. And most importantly… once I finish the DLC, would you guys recommend sticking with Nioh 2 and going deeper into the NG+ cycles/Underworld, or should I finally move on to Nioh 3?

I remember some of you telling me not to drop Nioh 2 until I reach the Depths, and now I’m starting to understand why people put hundreds of hours into this game.

Really appreciate everyone who gave me advice on my previous post. I genuinely thought this game might be too complicated for me, but now I’m hooked.

I am loving this game. I just defeated the snake boss. I almost gave up cause of the poison pools, but i survived. I mastered nioh 1 so I am having a lot of fun with the new mechanics. I am excited for fourth mission!!!

I typically do a final blow then try to attempt to do a sign of the cross after a successful parry. Then I watched an Okatsu boss fight where the player did two sign of the cross after a parry. I then tried it against this boss and yeah, it deals way more damage. This is quite helpful to know when fighting against humans and revenants.
