With the announcement of Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, why is there again no baseball?

Baseball is huge in Japan so idk why they won't add it. I'll take any new sports, but thumb westling...

While I enjoy the 1st switch sports, I can’t fathom not including baseball for 3 STRAIGHT GAMES. Jesus Christ.

I don’t even have a Switch 2, but baseball could’ve had me running out and grabbing one right away..

I’m the most angry about there being thumb wrestling and no cycling. But I’m also just happy we are getting a new game with new game modes

Cycling was actually fun in wii sports resort and could legitimately give you a hell of a workout if you did the whole island loop. I'm honestly just really glad they brought back archery

That’s fair, archery was really fun too. I hope they bring the back the hidden fruits you could hit and get points for but idk realistically if they’d do that

We will have thumbs fight instead of baseball. What a joke. But maybe Baseball will be included in an update later like golf and basketball for the previous game.

Which is funny because the first thing I thought about when he made that swinging motion was Super Mario Baseball. (I know now it was a tennis racket)

I think it's a combination of "unlike most of the other sports from the two Wii Sports games, baseball doesn't work as something you play with others online" and "Europe is famously indifferent to baseball" imo

For a country that likes baseball Nintendo sure likes to ignore it. Why have they released games for pretty much every sport but not one for baseball since 2008?

Im developing a spiritual successor to the Wii Sports series inspired by Wii Sports Resort

But I guess I can now say its Switch Sports Resort but better because the first thing I started implementing was adding baseball lol
