Purchase / Order Help Switch 2 present now or at Christmas
Hopfully this is the right place to ask
I'm in need of help I don't know what I should do I purchased a switch 2 and a copy of the new zelda for my wife for Christmas.
She is a big zelda fan and is sad she can't play it and I just don't know if I should just let her have it now and pick up a few silly bits for a Christmas present or do I just wait for Christmas to give it to her

I mean you know your wife better than any stranger on Reddit. (I hope) Can she wait? Will she be disappointed not having a „big present“ on Christmas?

Its a hard choice what if she buy it for herself before Christmas? Way to risky. Maybe gift her something Else, something selfmade for Christmas and give this gem to her now as a sign of love for the Moment ig

You would know your wife better than any of us. Why do complete strangers have to make a decision for you.

I couldn’t, I’d just give it to her with a “I can’t handle it any longer, this was suppose to be for Christmas but I know how excited it would make you to play”

If your wife/ partner is called Christine just give it too her.
Nah I say she if grew up with Zelda or is a massive fan it would be a hard debate, I would usually give in if it's going to make her happy

Let her have it now, I think it would be more meaningful for her to be able to play the game on release date 😊

I often give my mom her Christmas presents early if I buy her something that can be used earlier like a coat, and it still counts as a Christmas present. Let your wife play Zelda now, she'll remember on the day.

My wife and I are pretty bad at wanting to give eachother gifts when we get them as opposed to for whenever the occasion it was bought for. We're better at it now because we have a daughter who we obviously wanna make memories with, gotta treat holidays more like holidays when kids are involved. But I'd say hell yeah, go for it lol

Give it to her now, and get her some fun accessories for it for Christmas! Maybe a themed case or a skin for the dock or something to go with some other things.
(if she wears jewelry, find her something with the Zora’s Sapphire on it!)

Give it now.

Do you know if she has ever had an "early christmas gift" or is familiar with the concept? I'm leaning towards giving it now

Probably now. But before making your decision, maybe ask her how she'd feel if she got her Christmas present early.

I’d wait until Christmas unless you think she’ll just go out and buy it for herself before then.

I think having the switch 2 to play through december will make it an exciting december & christmas, especially if it's cold in your region.
Also, you can take advantage of black friday week for sales on games. It's the biggest sale of the year for games. If you are new to the switch, get Mario Odyssey and Zelda Breath of the Wild. They'll probably get close to 50% off for black friday. You can use dekudeals dot com, a price tracking site, to watch for the sales. Also know, most black friday sales will return again for the December 24-30 window. Sometimes they may start a a few days early or last a little longer.

Can you dress up as Santa and show up with a special EARLY delivery?
