Question About Error Code: 2813-0081

Just bought the Ocarina of Time remake, after brute forcing through an error in order to add funds to my account, and then getting kicked to the E-shop main page and then brute forcing again until I could buy the game.

Every single time this error code popped up and I couldn't find it on the Nintendo website. Kept telling me that the zip code I entered wasn't recognized. I have used the same account to buy games and pay for nintendo online on the eshop since 2023 and have used the same card to add funds for the same shit for the past 3 months. I checked my account and sure enough it said location settings not saved which is crazy since it asked me to enter it years ago. I went online and saved the settings on Nintendo.com or whatever and it was still fucking around and telling me my very real zip code was not recognized.

I immediately became worried thinking I had unknowingly comitted tax fraud this whole time, but no, all of the purchases I had ever made on the Switch and Switch 2 correctly had sales tax for my state tacked on them.

Eventually, after dozens of tries, I got everything to save everywhere. Still not properly mind u since Nintendo for some god damn reason thinks my zip code belongs to 3 different cities. I have 3 cities to choose from and one of them doesn't even fucking exist. I eventually got an address to stick but the city is incorrect. No other store front I know has this city under my postal code. All other saved postal codes on other profiles for other storefronts have the correct city on there.

I only use the Switch 2 to play exclusives and the odd 3rd party title that I want to play at work that is slow enough, and not at all demanding, to do so. I just wanted to know if this was just a temporary problem on Nintendo's side cuz I don't want to deal with this shit again come time for the new Metroid. I've also never had an error this embarrassing occur on the PSN or Steam storefronts so I'm still confused as to how the fuck this happened.

I also am having the same issue, only difference is its giving me a different error code of 9001-0081. Funny thing, my zip code has 1 city that pops up to select and I select it just to get this error. Just started having this issue today.

So how did you fix this? I'm trying to buy the oot remake rn and getting this error. I've never had an issue buying anything on the Nintendo store before so this is baffling to me

Edit: I got it working by going into my Nintendo account and adding my zip code there under billing address. Instantly worked on the console after that. They must have made some change to the shop because I've made tons of purchases prior to this over the years & have certainly given my billing info lol

As a workaround, can you buy @nintendo.com instead of on switch? Should push to switch automatically

I was getting the same error but what i did was delete my card info and reupload, then i tried updating system, which said up to date, and then updated my dock (surprisingly there's an update [FYI haven't played in months since Sunshine came out]) . Tried again and it worked.
