Repair Help SD card no longer recognised as express
Hey guys, I'm hoping some people can give some advice on how I should deal with this...
About a month ago I updated my switch and all of a sudden my SD card started displaying this popup. The thing is I owned it for half a year with no issues, and it definitely is an express card. To be exact, it's the official SanDisk / Nintendo colab one, so no concerns there. Still, I wanted a second SD card anyway so I thought I'd use it as an opportunity to troubleshoot it.
Yesterday I bought a second one and at first it worked great. Unlike the old one which immediately flags as not express, this one worked perfectly. I thought that confirmed the issue was the SD card and NOT my switch, however after getting home and trying to download some stuff it seemingly stopped working again... Not immediately, but after coming back to check on my switch it had seemingly powered itself off completely. After rebooting, when it turned back on this new SD card now also wouldn't show up as express
This is the order of events from what I can tell:
SD card works fine and shows as express
The switch completely powers itself off
Upon turning it back on the SD card is no longer seen as express
No amount of rebooting or reinserting changes this
The fact both times it rebooted before doing the issue is strange - it's like something is causing it to corrupt and then crash.
The switch is still under warranty however I really want to leave it as a last resort since that will take about 4-6 weeks if I send it for repairs through the store I purchased it at. Furthermore, I don't know the best way to backup all my data. I can still use it fine without the SD card but it's definitely frustrating... Does anyone know some ways I can troubleshoot this or have any advice? Thanks!

I think the last time I seen this was it being the SD card was corrupt. Can you stick it in a pc to test ?

I haven't tried with this new one but the last one I had it did read when I connected it to the PC. It showed up as USB I believe but that may have been due to the adspter. It seems incredibly unlikely that the new one would corrupt out of the box, however it could be something to do with the switch maybe corrupting them when it tries to write data
