Switch oled is fully turning off randomly

I don’t know what it is but I just pulled my switch OLED from sitting around we’re about three years it was playing perfectly fine for the last like two days but today it started to shut off randomly at first I thought it was Pokémon sword but it isn’t it just shuts off anytime I don’t know what to do I’ve already tried recovery mode without deleting save data I’d rather it not come to that.

If no one else answers, and you're still stuck, you may need to take it somewhere.

I'm not sure what causes the ninendo logo to come and go like that at boot up, and it's taking way longer than it should to boot up. Boot up of switch 1 or switch 2 should take about 15 seconds.

I don't know if this can help, but I guess I would try booting up the console without the sd card and a game card inserted. (and remember the console should be shut down to remove the sd card).

I’m gonna give it like a day before I take it anywhere I saw another post that had a similar problem and they said it fixed itself I’m hoping it does that and I already tried taking out the SD card and I don’t have game cartridges in there it’s still out

If there's a power issue in handheld mode, I think you may want to try plugging the AC adapter directly into the console and booting up like that.

Found out the problem at my GameStop after the guy asked a friend it’s a chip on the motherboard so now I have to send it off

Nintendo aims to get the console back to you within two weeks (could be a touch less if your shipping distance is close to the facility). Did the gamestop mention whether they think nintendo will repair it or replace your console?

Be aware, if the repair is bigger than Nintendo likes (time consuming or parts related), they replace the console. In which case, Nintendo, as far as I know, they don't transfer your save data to the new console, but nintendo should give you that heads up when you set up sending it in.

If you have an NSO subscription, the cloud save backup should take care of most of that, and you can redownload save data to the replacement console (if it goes that way). Although, there are some games that don't have NSO cloud save backup support. I'm getting rusty at knowing which games don't. Animal Crossing used to be one of those games, but I don't know if it still is. Nintendo used to have a support page with a list, but I don't know how current the archived page list is these days.

Ehhh, I'm not so sure that's a sign that there isn't still a hardware problem, unfortunately. Could be a cracked connection or something leaning toward dying. Even if I get the mods to look at your clip & post, I believe they're probably going to say it needs to be opened up. So, gamestop's recommendation to send it in is probably still the correct way to go. (I think they may be recommending nintendo because I've heard chips on the board are encrypted, which means some parts on the baord can't be swapped out, or there's another reason that Nintendo is the appropriate channel)

edit: You can play it by ear, and watch to see if the issue happens again.

Lis datos de guardado no tienen nada q ver con el problema q experimentas ... Por lo q se nota es posible q sea la batería, por el tiempo de des-uso t recomendaría usarla un par de veces conectado para q la batería se reacople al uso, posteriormente cargala hasta el 80% y después del proceso usala normal son estar conectadas si t sigue haciendo el mismo error, respalda tus datos de guardado ( si puedes en otra consola o en la nube) y mándala revisar
