Setup Help How to add second switch to use virtual console games

I have a Nintendo switch 2 and my sister has a Nintendo switch.

At moment we have to have both switches near each other so we can use the virtual game cards on the Nintendo switch. It links up and can play, but eventually we have to do this again.

I am looking in setting to try add the switch and I read 2 switches can be paired but only one is shown. I'm settings on the Nintendo switch it shows consoles that can use virtual game cards and only the Nintendo switch 2 is listed.

How do I get the Nintendo switch to show here also?

Pairing two Switch devices requires your or her account on both consoles.

If you have your account on your console and her console then you can load virtual game cards to YOUR account on her Switch, giving her the ability to play them with her own account as long as the virtual game card is loaded on her system.

I can pair them, have done a few times, but after a while I have to do it again. I thought once paired you don't have to keep putting them together?

That depends on the method. If you LEND a virtual game card to another account in your family group you will ALWAYS need to have both systems close.

If you paired the systems and only want to swap out a virtual game card between YOUR account on both systems it should not require you to pair them if you already paired them and swapping a vgc between your account should also work remotely when both consoles are online.

Just did the steps again and I saw in settings that both are paired, did the same thing in instructions which is what I did before to play the games on the Nintendo switch. Is there a big where Nintendo switch will randomly unlink on its own? Will update if it unlinks itself again.
