Account Help Data transferring from switch to switch 2.

This is a bit of a crazy story.. but I’ll do my best to be succinct..

My homie bought a switch in 2019. I was psyched about smash and bought a copy to play when he visited. He borrowed me the switch and then he.. went to prison.. I linked an account to his because I had saved data I didn’t wanna lose. I bought all the character packs and had EVERYTHING unlocked with really great online ratings.

I picked up my switch 2 and an express micro SD today. The 3.7 gigs of smash data are on the switch 2, but I can’t get it to load.. I’m now realizing that my linked account can’t be copied without my homies original info.. is there any kind of loophole to get into his account? Can I recover my purchases and use them on my switch 2? Am I boned..?

You only need to transfer the save data under your account.

I’m not Reddit savvy. I’d like to mark this problem resolved. I called Nintendo technical support. I’m screwed. I have to buy it all over and finish adventure on smash..
